In my three years here at Montair, I have been continuously impressed with the generosity of this community. Parents volunteer their time in our classrooms and fundraise to support valuable programs. But that generosity does not stop at our doors. We have had students and parents participate in Pledge to Humanity events like making sandwiches and blankets for local shelters. We have collected food for the Contra Costa Food Bank. This year, we also supported our sister school with our toy drive. This week we are planning another family service event with Montair Gives Back. Plan on attending along with your kiddos and work together to make a difference in the lives of others. We are also collecting books for our sister school. We will be donating these books in April.
I am inspired to be part of this generous community and look forward to continuing our work together!
On another note, please plan on coming to the book fair this week. On Thursday evening, the book fair will be open to allow for families to shop together. I will be there to read to the littles at 5:30 while parents shop. I hope to see you there.
