PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
We are starting off this school year with a few staffing openings that I wanted to share with our Montair community so you can help get the word out. Thanks to your Foundation donations, we can hire an 18 hour technology instructional assistant to help our kiddos use technology as a learning tool. This instructional assistant also runs our lunch time Maker’s Space where students collaborate and create, learning to use 3d printers and bitbots. We are looking for a person who loves kids and is excited to help facilitate fun, tech based learning opportunities.

We are also looking for one more 7.5 hour noon duty supervisor . This position is about 1.5 hours per day, from 11:45 to 1:15. Helping out in the lunchroom and out on the playgrounds is a wonderful way to connect with your kiddo during the day, get to know a bunch of wonderful children and get your steps in. Currently, two of our noon duty supervisors are Montair parents. Ideally, I would love to fill our last position with another family member eager to get involved, make a little extra money and join the MT staff.

Lastly, we have a 12 hour classroom para position open. Our classroom paraprofessionals work in our classrooms, directly with students every day. They assist with small group instruction, ensuring our students get as many points of contact and supportive adults during instruction as possible. Our paras get to work with a variety of different grade levels, gaining a rich understanding of how our kids learn.

If any of these positions are interesting to you, please send me an email. I can help connect you with edjoin, so you can apply. Or you can go directly to the district website to apply.

Here’s to another week or learning together!
