Message From The Principal
Dear Montair Families,

We hope everyone enjoyed the weekend, SRVEF Expo, Run for Education and the changing fall weather. As families prepare for conferences this week, please reach out to teachers if you have any questions in needing to schedule a time.

Safety of all students is important to us when students arrive and are dismissed from school. Please be mindful of the following pick up and drop off procedures. Students should exit their cars from the passenger side of vehicles. They should wait until they reach the drop off loop before exiting their car. Students should not be dropped off along the Estates Dr., Quinterra Ln. or in the inner loop of the drop off loop in the parking lot. It is not safe for students to walk or run between cars to get onto or off campus. During pick up, if parents are picking up their children on foot, please wait at the grassy area by the marquee until the bell rings. Please do not congregate near classrooms or in the patio area. Finally, no one should not park illegally on Houston Court or Estates Drive when picking up children. Please be courteous of our neighbors.

We have a couple of fun events in store for this week. On Saturday, October 16 from 9:00-11:00, we have the Montair run on the Iron Horse Trail. There will be staggered start times every 2 minutes. We will be giving official finish times for the 5K run. If you have questions, please Paul Grabowsky or Karen Robman.

In addition, our carnival is this Sunday, October 17th from 12:00-4:00. We’ll have a pumpkin patch, lots of games, food trucks, and a giant slide. We look forward to seeing you there!

Please take a moment this week after conferences to give us feedback on social-emotional learning. Your child’s teacher will have an SEL survey for you to fill out and drop off in the office. We appreciate you sharing your insights. If you prefer doing a digital survey, you can fill it out HERE.

Enjoy your week…

Warm regards,

Elizabeth Lyons, Ed.D.

Message from the PTA
Happy Fall Montair!

We are SO THRILLED to be having our Montair Carnival: A Whole New World back on campus this year. We have some of the classics coming back, like the Cake Walk, Raffle, and the midway games... as well as some super exciting new activities for the whole family to enjoy. Get ready to see a magic show, take a ride down the giant slide, and pick your family pumpkins!

Our Carnival is a wonderful community event for our school and we rely heavily on parent volunteers to keep it running smoothly. Room parents sent out sign-up geniuses for each class, and if you already signed up for a time slot or to bring in cake or water- THANK YOU!

If you do have an hour of your time to give on Sunday, please sign up here:

An email was also sent out to anyone who purchased their wristbands already about an additional PTA Waiver. If you haven't purchased your wristbands yet, and plan on coming to the Carnival, please fill out this google form. We will be requiring it and checking onsite. You can help keep our lines moving quickly by submitting this beforehand. Thank you!

While you're enjoying the Carnival, stop by the Spirit Wear table or check out the first introduction to our upcoming Wreath Fundraiser. And don't forget our Book Fair in the Library courtyard!

We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend with all of Montair!
