PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Montair Families,

We are happy to announce that Montair Elementary School is now a free Grab and Go meal pick up site. Any child under 18 qualifies for the Grab and Go Meals Program. Starting October 26th, families can come through the loop to pick up meals for their children from 10:00-1:00 Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. For more information click HERE

We have a lot going on this week! This week, October 19-October 23, is Digital Citizenship Week. Our teachers will teach various lessons on digital courtesy and digital safety throughout the week. For additional information on how you can promote digital citizenship at home click HERE. Mrs. Suffoletta shared that the library check out system is available for all 1st-5th grade students. If you’d like to check out a book, please click HERE to review the procedure for our curbside check out system. On Thursday, October 22nd at 6:00, we will have our GATE parent meeting. HERE is the Zoom link for that meeting.

Mrs. Wui and Mrs. Graham are excited to announce that we will begin Montair Leadership in November. For more information about leadership, click HERE. The application deadline is Friday, October 30th at 3:00. Please do your best to get your application in on time. We cannot make exceptions for late applications.

Another exciting event happening on October 30th from 2:30-4:00 is our Halloween Treat Drive Through. We invite students to dress up in costumes and come through our loop to get some Halloween treats. Our inner loop will be decorated and several of our teachers will be there to hand out goodies. To ease traffic in our neighborhood, we have divided up students’ into Trick- or-Treat time based on last names: A-E -2:30-3:00; F-L: 3:00-3:30, M-Z: 3:30-4:00. Please do your best to come during your scheduled time.

Warm Regards,
Elizabeth Lyons, Ed.D.
Principal
