Dear Montair Families,
We are so excited to welcome our first group of students back to campus today! Mrs. Faraday, Mrs. Rathi, Mrs. Kohleriter, and Mrs. Conaty have worked hard to prepare their rooms for their students’ return. Music, signs, balloons, and a warm welcome will greet students as they step foot onto Montair for the first time in 8 months!
Thank you for turning in your declaration forms on time. We had a 95% completion rate. We will be contacting the remaining families who have not turned in their form this week. Once we receive data from all of our families, we will assign teachers to either remote or hybrid teaching. During our parent declaration meeting, parents asked what will happen in the event of a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case at our school. Contra Costa Health Services has put together THIS DOCUMENT that outlines the protocol we will follow in the event of suspects or confirmed COVID-19 cases.
We would like to have all students’ photos in the yearbook. If you did not have the chance to have your child’s photo taken when our photographer was on campus. Students can go to the APV vision location for makeup pictures. APV visions, the company that took our school photos this year has the following message for you:
We are excited to share with you that we have added additional Picture Days at our outdoor home studio if you missed your Picture Day and would like to still be included in your class photos, yearbook and/or order school portraits. You can book your session at www.apvisions.com/book.
In light of these unique and challenging times, the Montair Auction Committee is incorporating “Love Local, Love Montair” in our school fundraising efforts. Let’s show our love for the local businesses that have routinely shown their love for Montair. The Fall Gift Card Drive runs through Nov 20, 2020, so sign up today. On the Sign Up Genius you will find amazing curated “experiences” made up of several of our local businesses. Experiences created with gift cards will become auction items (like "Family Friday Fun" and "Life Happens: Yoga, Shopping, and Chocolate Help") for the Montair 2021 Auction.
