PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Montair Families,

I want to thank you for your participation in this year’s Halloween Treat Drive Through.  It was a special joy to see so many Montair families and most of our staff celebrating Halloween in our own special way.  If you live near Montair, please thank your neighbors for their grace and patience as over 300 cars converged to roll through our loop.  I’d like to share a special thank you to the Montair PTA for funding, organizing, and hosting our Halloween Treat Drive Through.

As we continue with remote learning for the next six weeks, I’d like to share a few reminders so our students and staff can get the most out of this time.  Please remember to have students demonstrate scholarly behavior during lesson times.  They should be seated upright, dressed in school clothing, and arrive to class on time. Teachers report that many students are eating during lessons. It is preferred that  students eat before school starts, during recess or during asynchronous times. Remember to do your best to schedule appointments either after school or during asynchronous times.  Finally, if your child is invited to participate in student support time, please be sure your child remembers to attend this special time with their teacher.  We want to maximize the time students spend experiencing live instruction.

On Friday, November 6th, you will receive the formal declaration letter regarding your learning preference for your child starting January 5, 2021. The declarations will be due November 13th. There will be videos and town hall meetings from the superintendent that will thoroughly explain the hybrid model. Keep an eye out for emails from the district office this week.

Warm Regards,
Elizabeth Lyons, Ed.D.

Free Grab & Go Meals
The Free For All Meals program has been extended through June 30, 2021. What does this mean for our SRVUSD Families? Any parent with children 18 years and under can pick up a breakfast and lunch meal at one of our designated meal locations for free. Vegetarian options are available. No food is wasted, and this is open to all SRVUSD families. Parents unable to pick up student meals should contact Child Nutrition ([email protected]) for accommodations. This is a wonderful service for our kids and community. Visit the Child Nutrition website for the most up to date information including pick up locations, menus, heating instructions, and FAQs.
