Message From The Principal

Dear Montair Families,  We hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and enjoyed special moments and happy memories. As we move into the final days of 2021, we wanted to share a couple of changes to this year’s school calendar. At the last school board meeting it was decided that Monday, January 10, 2022, will now be a floating workday for staff, which means there is no school for students on this day. School resumes on January 11, 2022. Friday, March 11, 2022, will now be a regular school day for all students and staff.   TK/K enrollment will run from now until December 17th. Please encourage friends and neighbors with TK/K students to enroll their children by the December 17th deadline. You can click HERE for more information on registration. Please remember that next week, December 6th-December 10th are assessment days and early release for our 1st-3rd grade students. All 1st-3rd grade students will be dismissed at 1:50 on 12/6, 12/7, 12/9 & 12/10.  We will be donating Lost and Found jackets during winter break. Please be sure to go through the lost and found before December 22nd. SRVUSD has several programs in place to support families during this time of year. If your family needs some help with holiday food and gifts, you can sign up for help on this Neighbor to Neighbor form. LAST CHANCE TO BUY! Last chance to buy your tickets for the Sip & Shop Event on December 2nd! This is a perfect time to do some holiday shopping and give back to Montair!       Your ticket includes a glass of wine in your very own custom Montair wine glass, tasty appetizers and a raffle ticket. Please plan to meet us at Beyond Active's Backyard space at 5:30pm on 12/2. Upon arrival, you will receive your treats plus a map of where to shop.  This just in....the Cashmere Store will also be participating. Montair PTA Presents: Holiday Workshop 2021 Back and bigger than ever! Each 30 minute session will include 3 different activities: rock painting, card making, and a winter ornament craft. Please bring your $5 per student to the MPR on Wednesday, December 8th. Younger siblings welcome to participate too! Additional rocks can be purchased for $1 each.  Use the link HERE to sign your student up for one 30 minute session.
