As we wind down 2019, I would be remiss not to share some of what I am grateful for so far during this school year.
- We had an amazing Carnival with no storms, smoke, or natural disasters.
- We purchased new, culturally responsive books, and sensory boxes for EVERY classroom, thanks to parents contributing to the Foundation fund a need.
- We hired a technology instructor to run the MAKER SPACE- Mr. Ing will be here in January.
- We had two very healthy baby boys born to the MT Staff Family, with a little girl on the way.
- We filled all of the Board Positions on both PTA and Foundation for the next two years.
- We weathered the power outages as a team.
- We hired two more classroom paras to the school that have jumped right in, supporting our kids.
- We have two long term subs that are loving the kids, collaborating with colleagues, and adding to our community.
- We have one of our students, home and recovering after an unexpected illness.
- We have one of the strongest communities around and are there for each other when needed.
I hope you all take the time to notice all that you are grateful for in 2019! Enjoy the extra time with your families and friends. May your break be filled with joy and love!
