Message From The Principal

Dear Montair Families,

We want to extend a big thank you to Alice Bolick for putting together a wonderful “Words Matter Week” for our community. I saw many students posting positive messages on the bulletin board by the office, learning more about one another from the “Hello, I’m . . .” stickers, and taking photos in the front of the “Be the “I” in SMILE, FRIEND, and KIND posters. Mrs. Espinoza and I were able to visit 4th and 5th classes to discuss the power of our words. Many students chose to make a commitment to inspire and lift each other up through the words they use. They also vowed to help others when they hear words that hurt or exclude their fellow Roadrunners. We were impressed with the earnest tone and passion students conveyed during our discussions. We felt it set a beautiful tone for Valentine’s celebrations on Monday,

The kick-off to the Montair Boosterthon Love Run begins today! Boosterthon staff will be on campus visiting all classrooms to share the news about our Love Run. We have a goal of raising $50,000. We encourage you to log into https://mybooster.com/v3 and register your child if you haven’t already and share your child’s fundraising link with family and friends.CLICK HERE to see the Family Kick Off video. These funds will help pay the salaries of our reading and math teachers. Our Love Run will take place on Friday, 2/25. All students will get a specially designed LOVE RUN t-shirt to wear on that day. We look forward to spreading the love during this wonderful day.

Thank you for encouraging your children to reclaim their lost items. We have placed the remaining lost jackets on the fencing to the left of the kindergarten building. Please come by to see if any of those items belong to your children.

Kind regards,
