Dear Montair Families,

We had a wonderful welcome back to campus for our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students last week. My favorite moment was hearing our children giggling on the swings while I was supervising recess. It made my heart smile to see our campus come back to life.

As we prepare for our 3rd-5th grade hybrid students’ return, we ask you to remember a few key pick up and drop off procedures. First, pull as far forward in the loop as you can prior to stopping. Next, always have your children exit from the passenger side of your car with their supplies with them and their masks on. Finally, do not get out of your car. Please teach your children how to exit and enter your car independently. If you are dropping off a child at Kids Country, please park in a parking spot, not in the loop. We encourage you to follow these procedures to promote safety and expedite pick up and drop off time.

There will be an Exceptional Education Committee Meeting on Wednesday, February 17th at 10am. The Exceptional Education (formerly known as Special Needs) Committee will be doing a Part Two of the IEP 101 Series. The guest speakers are Ken Nelson, Director of Student Services, and Christine Koehne, Special Needs Liaison, and their presentation will have information on accommodations and 504s. The meeting is open to families with child(ren) with an IEP and/or 504. You can register in advance for this meeting:
