Dear Montair Families,

As you may know, SRVUSD has partnered with RAFT to offer engineering challenges for our students this year. We are excited to share with you our engineering challenge for the month of February, Cat Care. This fun and challenging activity will help your student think like an engineer while having fun and being creative! The letter from Raft outlining the details of the Cat Care Challenge is HERE . We encourage our students to participate in this enticing challenge! If your child decides to participate, please email me and let me know. I’d love to support our future engineers.

This week is “Words Matter Week”. Our PTA, leadership students and classroom teachers have numerous activities planned to demonstrate the power of words. We hope the lessons shared this week will provide opportunities for our students to spread words of kindness and support across our community. I will be doing a special read aloud on Thursday, 2/4 @ 5:30. All children are invited to join in. Here is the Zoom information: https://srvusd-net.zoom.us/j/86277914079 Meeting ID: 862 7791 4079

Here's your chance to celebrate Words Matter Week in an extra special way. Check out the "Kind is Cool" bracelets at the auction website. Brought to you by our 1st grade families and the Little Words Project, these bracelets are a perfect gift for your children while also raising funds for the 2021-2022 school year. The fun acrylic letters teach a positive message about kindness. Be on the lookout for more auction projects that celebrate the Silver Linings of 2021.

I will be hosting a Principal’s “Coffee” on Thursday, on 2/4 @ 6:00 p.m. Please write any questions you’d like me to address on this Google Doc.Here is the Zoom link: Join Zoom Meeting
