I am hopeful that all of our community is well and staying safe during this unusual time in our history. Earlier this year, when my family and I decided that this is the best time to retire, I had no idea our world would be turned upside down. It is heartbreaking to think that I won’t get to dance in the driveway with the kids in the mornings, or attend class meetings to discuss the character traits of the month. The Montair Community is so special and I will do my best to stay connected to the school throughout the rest of this year. As such, I will start Roadrunner Round Up on Tuesday afternoons- 4PM. Every Tuesday I will email a message with new videos of staff members, meeting times for kid google hangouts with me, or offer parent coffee times where community members can reach out and stay connected. Stay tuned for these Tuesday Messages starting April 22.
Even though we have shifted to a virtual community, we do have a lot of important events coming up. We have two important Parent meetings this week. The links and times are listed above. We also have two parent openings on our School Site Council. Site Council is made up of 12 community members- Principal, 4 Teachers, 1 classified employee, and 6 parents. Site Council meets once a month to discuss school events, create and approve our site goals, reflect on our budget and school safety, and troubleshoot any issues that impact our school.
