Dear Montair Families,
You will see quite a few new faces when you return to campus this year. Please welcome our new teachers, returning teachers and some teachers in new positions. Here are our new teachers: TK: Jocelyn Goforth, 1st grade: Samantha Flaum, 2nd grade: Christine Russo and Amanda Wiedeman, 2nd-3rd grade Emily Varisco, 4th grade: Clarissa Adas, and 5th grade: Harleen Hundal, school counselor: Sarah Reardon.
We are happy to welcome back Tiffany Knott to 3rd grade, who will job share with Mrs. Mendonsa. Jane Espinoza is our new Administrative TSA as Margrette Wui has taken on a new District role as a Multi Tier of Student Support (MTSS) Liaison . We are so lucky to have such talented leaders to support our work.
We will have several new paraeducators on staff as well. Seung Bang is our new art paraeducator. Karyn King is our new 9-hour classroom paraeducator and Kerri Higgins is a new 1st grade paraeducator supporting special education. Please join me in giving all our new staff a warm, Roadrunner welcome!
We are able to have parent volunteers on campus and in classrooms this year and are waiting for additional guidance about volunteer regulations. In the meantime, you can read about volunteer requirements on the Volunteer Page on SRVUSD website. All volunteers must be cleared through the Be a Mentor screening program.
We have posted positions for lunch recess supervisors and are eagerly awaiting applicants. We are looking for a few parents to step in and help us out until we can hire permanent lunch recess supervisors. If you’re interested in volunteering, please click HERE.
