Top Question on the Ground:
What happens in Montana if the Supreme Court overturns marriage equality?
ANSWER: If the Court overturns marriage equality during private conference on November 7, Montana politicians could step in and try to regulate who can marry and who counts as a family. That's government overreach at its worst. Marriage is a personal contract between two adults, not state property. Daines has opened the door to more federal intrusion, not less. I'll work for Montana and our right to govern our own private lives. The government needs to stay out of marriages, bedrooms, and family decisions.

Universal Healthcare Starts With Montanans
A national buy-in network
backed by federal payer-of-record
with enrollment voluntary
and baseline guaranteed as a right.
LIVINGSTON, MT — Reilly Neill, candidate for the U.S. Senate, announced today the drafting of the Universal Healthcare Act. The bill is being written in Montana through a public process that includes direct community participation.
The legislation is designed to guarantee healthcare as a right for every American and to remove healthcare access from the political bargaining table.
“Healthcare in America has become a hostage to power struggles in Washington,” Neill said. “Montanans deserve healthcare certainty that does not vanish during a shutdown threat. No family should fear losing care because elected officials play games with the budget.”
The Universal Healthcare Act intends to provide a universal guarantee so that no family loses care due to lost employment or federal gridlock. The legislation places the federal government in the payer role that employers currently hold.
Every American will have the ability to buy into a public healthcare network as a legal right.
The bill establishes comprehensive coverage that includes primary care, hospital care, emergency services, prescription drugs, maternal health, pediatric services, dental and vision services, rehabilitation, and mental healthcare with full legal parity.
“Rural and Tribal communities feel the damage first when healthcare breaks down,” Neill said. “Montana understands how far people travel for basic care. This bill centers on rural realities. A community should not lose access to emergency care due to low population density.”
The bill is being shaped through listening sessions with healthcare workers, Tribal governments, agricultural workers, veterans, seniors, educators, and local officials across Montana. The final text will reflect direct testimony from the people who rely on the system.
"Lobbyists will not write this legislation. The public will," Neill said.
Montanans may participate in the drafting process by submitting feedback or requesting a listening session in their community. The campaign can be reached at info@reillyformontana.com.
The Universal Healthcare Act will be introduced in the United States Senate after final public consultation.
"Universal Healthcare will belong to the communities that help write it and to the generations who depend on it," Neill said.
What Do You Think?
How is the healthcare crisis affecting families in your community while D.C. politicians continue the shutdown?
Montanans face delayed appointments, rising insurance costs, and uncertainty about coverage while D.C. leaders trade healthcare like a bargaining chip. Families cannot rely on a system that shuts down whenever Washington stalls, and rural communities feel the impact first when clinics cut services or close their doors.
