Wilderness Woman Training... For Men!
Monday, October 14, 2024, at the Cushman Watt Scout Center
This course is designed specifically for male scout leaders and assistant scout leaders in troops that welcome female scouts. If you feel comfortable and confident when working with your female scouts, they will feel more comfortable and confident too. We will discuss how to approach potential issues both on the trail and off, working with boys and girls together, ensuring you are following best practices with Youth Protection Training, and ensuring you are modeling the values of Scouting with everyone in your troop. These can be uncomfortable topics, but they are important to address and will better prepare you to communicate effectively with your troop.

Troop 551 & Cub Scout 551:
Weekend Scouting Adventure!
Troop 551 and Cub Scout 551 are dedicated to supporting youth through community service, outdoor exploration, and unforgettable memories! Their first outing took place at the San Dimas Nature Center, where two groups of 43 scouts, along with their parents, came together for an exciting day.
During the outing, they learned about raptors and their habitats, enjoyed a scenic hike, and, most importantly, created lasting memories as a team. We encourage everyone to share their scouting adventures and inspire others in our vibrant community!

Outstanding Eagle Scout Nominations

The Greater LA Scouting Eagle Scout Association Chapter is now accepting nominations for the National Eagle Scout Association Outstanding Eagle Scout Award. This esteemed honor, presented by the local council’s NESA committee, recognizes Eagle Scouts who have achieved remarkable accomplishments at the local, state, or regional level. The NOESA celebrates those whose contributions have made a meaningful impact in their communities.
Nominations are due by October 31, 2024. Please submit your nominations via email to fochoa@scouting.org.

Scout Day with the Chargers

Calling all Scouts! Greater Los Angeles Scouting will be hosting a Scout Day takeover at SoFi Stadium, on November 10th, as the Chargers take on the Tennessee Titans at 1:05 PM. Join your fellow Scouts, family, and friends for a fun day of football.
Make sure you enter which Scout Council you are a member of, for a portion of each ticket will go directly back to support your Council. Buy your tickets now before prices are increased.
