Greetings!
Can you choose a book without seeing the cover?
February will be arriving soon and "Blind Date with a Book" & "Secret Valentine with a Book" are coming back! What is the Secret Valentine and Blind Date program?
Well, every book you pick up is wrapped without knowing the title but will have a brief synopsis. Books will be available for kids (Secret Valentine) and for teens/adults (Blind Date).
Adult and Teen books include a "rate your date" bookmark and youth books include a coloring sheet that allows you to enter into a prize drawing! The program runs February 1st through March 2nd.
Pictured above are volunteers from Bayview Academy who helped wrap the books you will find on our shelves. Special thanks to our library volunteers, BayView Academy volunteers, and library staff like Librarian Sarah Nolan for her leadership on this. We look forward to providing you a perfect match!

Each pass admits up to six family members per visit. You can get one pass per program year (September through April) per adult library card holder.
Free Shelf to Shore Aquarium passes are available if you:
-Are 18 years old or older
-Are a resident of the City of Monterey
or the City of Pacific Grove
-Have a valid Monterey or Pacific Grove Public Library card
-Qualify for Free School Lunch, WIC, CalFresh, SNAP,
Meals on Wheels, Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, Healthy Kids,
Section 8 or subsidized housing, or other similar services
You can request the passes, based on availability, at the Library Help Desk. Please remember to bring your library card.
