What's the story with the hat?
I'm asked pretty often about the hat - and no, I wasn't born with a hat on my head.
I think back to my childhood of reading comic books, daily cartoon strips, and watching cartoons & pro wrestling. What was in common with the identity of many of these characters? Many of them had a unintentional uniform of sorts!
Charlie Brown always wears the same shirt~
Asterix & Obelix always had the same outfit~
Dagwood seemed to always wear a bowtie~
Incredible Hulk has purple pants...no matter what clothes Bruce Banner is wearing before then~
Hulk Hogan had the trademark headband and yellow trunks...
So when I started wearing the hat people started identifying me as "the Library Guy" and now I feel like it's part of my library uniform.
It's funny how something like that can be an unintentional character in itself.
