Bread and Puppet Theater is coming!
The world-famous Bread and Puppet Theater is coming to our area during their 60th anniversary tour. This will be the only performance in the DC area of the Vermont-based group during their Spring tour.
Wheaton Arts Parade is raising funds to cover the Puppet Theater's modest $3,000 fee so that tickets can be free to the public.
Wheaton Arts Parade, 2801 Elnora St, Wheaton, MD 20902
The touring company consists of 13 puppeteers and musicians who travel in an old school bus. Bread and Puppet performances are marked by giant puppets and masks, and a message of peace and social justice.
Saturday, April 8 at 4:00 pm
at
11135 Newport Mill Road, Kensington, MD 20895
FYI, local residents are chipping in by opening their homes to provide lodging for the performers.
- The performance is free to the public and will be followed by Q&A with the company and a demonstration of how their puppets and stage props work.
Please help make this event a success!
