From Your Executive Director
Welcome to 2023! As usual, a new year brings with it new opportunities, many uncertainties, and no doubt - many changes. One change I want to share with you is my retirement from the Parkville Area Chamber of Commerce! I began this job in November of 2012 and although it has been an amazing 10+ years (which have gone by way too quickly), it is time to pass the baton. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with the best Board of Directors that anyone could hope for, as well as amazing members, more friendships than I can count, and a renewed love of Parkville and those who work tirelessly to make it the community we love.
I will remain through the Gala on Feb 25th and look forward to my last day on March 10th. I hope that you will join us at the gala this year so I can hug you, thank you for your support, and wish you the best year ever for your business.
The next 2 months will be busy as we get ready for the gala and I will also be training the new interim executive director. The board has hired Gretchen Moran, a consultant, who will be learning my job. I am excited to get to know her better and I'm pretty certain this transition will be fairly seamless as she brings a lot of experience with her. Don't hesitate to stop in to see us and welcome Gretchen to Parkville.
Thank you again for your love and support over the last 10 years. I won't be a stranger to Parkville and I look forward to attending events as a guest and not a worker!! Oh, and Mike is also excited to announce his retirement from his duties as Mr. Executive Director :)
