Zeb's General Store Charitable Fund
Zeb’s Charitable Fund Donates $2500 to Odyssey of the Mind.
Mount Washington Valley Promotions acknowledged the mission of Conway Public Library’s Odyssey of the Mind program at its annual Volunteers of the Year awards ceremony at the Nativity Lutheran Church on Sunday, October 19, by naming them the winner of the 2025 Zeb’s Community Compassion Grant.
The Community Compassion Grant is awarded to the best non-profit in the Valley, as determined by a selection committee from the Collaborative. The $2,500 award is funded by a donation from the Zeb’s General Store Charitable Fund.
With the support of the Friends of the Conway Public Library, kids in the Mount Washington Valley have been able to participate for free in Odyssey of the Mind for the past 4 years. Zeb's and the 2025 Community Compassion Award will allow us to continue to offer this quality, STEAM afterschool program to our community for several additional years to come! Thank you to Zeb's, the Friends of the Conway Public Library, and all of the volunteer coaches, judges, and parents that have made it possible for OM to take root and flourish in our community.
Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving competition that empowers kids to take a leadership role in their own education and learning. Throughout the school year, teams of seven work together to develop a solution to their long-term problem that requires engineering, artistic and theatrical elements, public speaking, writing, budgeting, critical analysis, and ingenuity. This year, we will be sending 6 teams to the regional competition in April to compete against 100+ other teams from across New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts.
If you’d like to support our Odyssey of the Mind program, join us on November 15th from 2-5 pm for a fun round of mini golf inside the library! This year's Odyssey teams are busy creating their most unique and creative mini golf holes to challenge even the best putters in the Valley.
