Hey, there! Thanks for subscribing to our monthly Brewsletter. Read on to get the low-down on what's been tap-pening with Castle Danger during the past month and what you can look forward to in the month ahead. Cheers!

Alright, you've seen it. The articles were posted. Your Instagram was blown up. News stations couldn't stop talking about it. The official lineup for the Minnesota State Fair has been RELEASED! [Pause for dramatic effect.]

In all reality, we are incredibly excited to be returning to the State Fair and bringing not one... not two... but three specialty beers with us. Orange Cream Ale and Grapefruit Ode IPA are making a comeback at O'Gara's and... drumroll please... we are debuting our Peaches & Cream Ale which will also be exclusively available at O'Gara's. It kind of seems like O'Gara's is the place to be!

We will send out an official " prepare yourselves" email leading up to the State Fair with all of the locations of our dangerously good ales on the fairgrounds. So, keep your eyes peeled for that!

Wondering what's going to happen when we can no longer sell growlers? Here's a rundown of what you can expect in the coming months.

Through September 30th, it's business as usual. We will accept all Castle Danger growler returns and will give you a full $5 refund for your growler as long as it's in good condition. From October 1st through December 31st, you may still return your Castle Danger growler to the taproom. In exchange, you will receive a free pint token for each empty (full pint for a 64oz growler, 1/2 pint for a 750 ml). Starting January 1st, 2020, we will not refund or redeem Castle Danger growlers. If you would like, you are welcome to drop them off at the taproom or hang on to them for when the law does change. Until then, you can get your favorite dangerously good ale at our taproom on Lake Superior or at your local liquor store, bar, or restaurant.
We are going to continue to sell growlers until the minute that we can't. We will share updates, events, and anything growler related in the Growler Information newsletter. Again, if you don't already subscribe, get on it!

First 12oz cans, now blue lids? *Flips table.*

Red Hop is getting a little crazy this year. To distinguish this can on the shelf, we've swapped the silver lids for blue ones. Red Hop is now available in liquor stores and on tap at bars and restaurants around Minnesota.

If you've never tried Red Hop before, let us enlighten you. Red Hop is an India-Style Red Ale brewed during the transition between summer and fall. It is a rich, full-bodied ale that is balanced by Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops. Red Hop is enjoyed by malt lovers and hop aficionados alike. Check the Beer Finder on our website for the latest deliveries of Red Hop in your neck of the woods.

If you're out and about drinking a Red Hop, snap a picture and share it! Use the hashtag #redhopredale for a chance to be featured in our social media and on our website.
17 7th STREET

The bands are booked. The beer is brewing. The anticipation is building. Join us on August 16th and 17th for our EIGHTH Anniversary Celebration! This has been a big year for us and we want to celebrate all of the successes with you.

Attending the party is completely free and kids are welcome to join in on the fun. There will be live music, lawn games, specialty infusions, raffles benefitting the Lake County Humane Society, food trucks, and so much more. You can find the full list of bands and food trucks ON OUR WEBSITE or FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE. Specialty infusions will be released in a dedicated email leading up to the event.

If you're coming from out of town, we recommend looking into lodging sooner rather than later. Check out the Two Harbors Chamber of Commerce Lodging & Travel recommendations and book your stay now!

We can't wait to see you there!

Our Pints for a Cause program is donating to the Lake County Humane Society for the entire month of August. Stop in every Wednesday and $1 of every pint sold will go to the organization. It's a great way to feel good about drinking beer. See you on Wednesday.

*In addition, all proceeds from the raffle held during our Anniversary Weekend event (August 17th) will go to the Lake County Humane Society. The organization will have a booth at the brewery all day Saturday. Who knows, maybe some furry friends will show up!

This month we sat down with Jerry White, Packaging Operator extraordinaire. If this picture doesn't give it away, Jerry is one of the most unique (in a good way), fun, and kind people you will ever have the chance to meet. He's an important part of Team Danger and we thank our lucky stars every day that he comes to work with us.

To keep our brewsletters nice and short, we decided to start logging all of our brewery bios on our website. You can find Jerry's full bio HERE.

Jerry adds so much light to our busy workdays. Thanks for everything that you do, Jerry. You are absolutely nailing it!
