NEWS
AT DAWN, WE RIDE

It has happened. Castle Danger Brewery can no longer sell growlers, crowlers, or any off-sale from its taproom in beautiful Two Harbors, MN.

First, thank you to everyone who came to our Growler Hiatus Hurrah last night. It was the perfect send-off for the vessel that spread our name throughout the great state of Minnesota (and beyond). Second, another thank you to every single one of you who have ever purchased a growler from us in the past. YOU are the reason we are where we are today.

Castle Danger can no longer sell growlers until the growler cap in Minnesota is raised. We want it to be clear, our goal in bringing growlers back serves multiple purposes: growlers are a marketing tool for small communities like Two Harbors. They are icons of the craft beer industry. Filling and selling growlers employs local labor. They are a catalyst for small business growth. Customers purchase growlers in taprooms and look for that beer in their local liquor stores and bars when they get back home. Selling growlers should be an option for ALL craft breweries.

WE CAN GET THEM BACK. Click the button below to send an email to your MN representatives. We cannot win this fight without your help.

Please don't wait. Contact your legislator today! Just because it is the off-season, does not mean that progress can't be made. Thank you for your ongoing support.
ON TAP
FRESH.

Move over, Christmas. This is the most wonderful time of the year. Our Mosaic Fresh Hop IPA is heading to a bar, restaurant, and liquor store near you starting the week of October 7th. We call this beer the last true seasonal. The ingredients; fresh, wet hops, are only available during the fall hop harvest. Hops grow in a way to protect the Lupulin glands, which produce the hop flavors we love. Hops are traditionally dried and pelletized which lock in the majority of oils for long term storage but removes some of the delicate flavors they can offer. Fresh hopped beers are a way for brewers to use hops in their purest form. This beer is truly unique and is a brewery favorite.

Our Mosaic Fresh Hop IPA is the Juicy Fruit of India Pale Ales. The rich flavors and aromas of tropical fruit balance the piney, resinous, and warming bitterness. Whether you're a hop head or not, you will find something to like in this IPA. We only brew a very limited amount of Mosaic Fresh Hop IPA. Be sure to grab a pint, or a 4-pack of this beer before it's gone!

UPDATE FOR 2019: Mosaic Fresh Hop IPA will now be available in 12oz 4-packs which means the price will be a little easier to swallow (like the beer...). Please contact your local liquor store for exact pricing.

ATTENTION, LEAFERS!

October brings cold nights and mild days. Minnesota's fall colors display is in full swing and it's about time you make a trip to the North Shore to experience it.

Our taproom and patio in Two Harbors is the perfect way to end a day of driving up the Scenic Highway or hiking on the Superior Hiking Trail. With roughly 13 beers on tap, you're bound to find something dangerously good to enjoy. Order in food or grab takeout from a local restaurant on your way to the taproom and toss back a couple of pints while reminiscing about the beautiful reds, oranges, and yellows.

The DNR is posting fall color updates almost daily. Keep an eye on our Instagram story as well.
BLAZING SADDLES TRAILS

Join the Superior Hiking Trail Association’s effort to re-blaze the Trail!

Many of the blue and white blazes on the SHT have faded or gone with downed trees since they were originally painted back in 2006 & 2007. It’s time to restore these blazes to their original glory and ensure trail users are able to find their way on the SHT.

Team Danger Volunteers is organizing a group to re-blaze a section of the SHT. Grab a friend and register today!
CASTLE DANGER BLOOD DRIVE

We are are partnering with Memorial Blood Centers to host a Blood Drive on Saturday, October 26th. Castle Danger is offering a free pint for every pint of blood that is given. These drives are so successful that the blood that is donated on the 26th will stay on the North Shore. That's right, you can guarantee that your donation is supporting lives in your local community.

Schedule your appointment now by calling 1-888-GIVE-BLD (888-448-3253) or follow the link. ⬇️
GITCHI-GAMI STATE TRAIL ASSOCIATION

Our Pints for a Cause program is donating to the Gitchi-Gami State Trail Association for the entire month of October. Stop in every Wednesday and $1 of every pint sold will go to the organization. It's a great way to feel good about drinking beer. See you on Wednesday.
