Chamber Chatter
  • We have increased our social media presence by sharing member updates, highlighting special events and giving daily updates on our business spotlight.
  • We have added several things to our website to make it more useful for our members. Don't forget, you can add an event to our calendar!
  • Membership visits are still in full swing. We want to get to know you. Call the Chamber today to schedule your own personal visit.
  • Our first Chamber Mixer was this month and we are starting to see activity with our committees.
  • After a lot of hard work and patience, our visitor's bureau was able to secure an ICEE machine. Just one more great idea started in Coffeyville, and now a great visitor's attraction.
Economic Impact
While it might be great to see a big industry move into the Amazon building, sometimes slow and steady wins the race. Dollar Tree, Simple Simons and Donut Palace are three new small businesses that will play a great role in helping our economic growth. MJD is in the middle of expansion, ACME has completed their renovations and expansions and are expecting a big hiring spree this coming year, and a new, exciting business will be coming to Coffeyville (announcement coming  soon). Why is this so important to Coffeyville?

Did you know small businesses in America crea te over  60% of net new private-sector jobs  and  employ nearly half  of America's workforce. I believe our focus should be on helping our local businesses expand and stand strong. This can be a driving factor in helping our small community thrive.

Unemployment has also shown great improvement this year. "For the fifth consecutive month the unemployment rate in Kansas dropped and is now at 3.7 percent" said Kansas Secretary of Labor, Lana Gordon.

Let's focus on positive growth and possibilities. Coffeyville Proud!
