Committee Updates
The Industrial Roundtable has met a couple times this summer with great discussions in the group to highlight challenges facing Industry today. Coffeyville has and always will be home to a thriving manufacturing and industrial community.

Members Needed! Do you want to help drive exciting events and projects in the Downtown area? How about supporting our local businesses with shop local initiatives? The Downtown and Retail committees are seeking members to join in these two engaging groups. Call today for more information.
Visit Coffeyville
has been in full swing with visitors in the area. We packed 75 visitor bags for the SEK Trike-In that took place June 23-25 at Walter Johnson Park, and 300 bags for the Country Gospel Music Association conference that took place in South Coffeyville from July 17-21st.
The Dalton Defenders Museum & Old Condon Bank have been busy with visitors. June brought 562 visitors and 359 of them lived 100 miles away or further! We had visitors from Germany, Holland, & Turkey.
The Brown Mansion will extend their hours during fair week & will be open August 15, 16, 17, 18 & 19th at 1 & 3pm. Bring your family & friends out to tour the mansion!

Chamber Chatter
o   Did you know the Chamber serves as the primary office for the Inter-State Fair and Rodeo? We are keeping busy with mailings, calls, supply orders and more! Summer time is one of our busiest times of the year, and we love being a part of this fun event!

o   Flashy announcements and major changes don't happen all the time, but the Chamber, City, MCAC and several other entities have been working together to keep Coffeyville strong. Here are just a few collaborations this summer:
  • Toured with many prospective industries
  • Met with several other counties on the US 169 Highway coalition
  • Worked on new branding initiatives (more logos & websites unveiling soon)
  • Promoted, volunteered or supported several community events that make Coffeyville a great place to live, work and play!

o   Interested in meeting with Chamber staff to chat about your business? Email Candi to set up a meeting to talk about the good, bad, and upcoming in your business. This is a great opportunity to tell the Chamber how we can better serve you. We are also seeking member input for our 2018 Strategic Goals. We would love your feedback on the challenges and opportunities for this upcoming year!

Economic Impact
Having a business in Coffeyville can be amazing! In his article, Small Business, Small Town: Three Keys to Winning Big in a Little Pond, Christopher Freeburn talks about certain environments and restrictions that can propose challenges to your business. But these three tips can make a big difference:
  •  Small business, know thyself
  •  Be careful with pricing and advertising
  • Maximize the right kind of customer service

Keep an eye out for upcoming dates on a special workshop our community will be offered based on the new book, Small Town Rules!
