Taken from a book I am reading called, "Prayer: Does it make a difference?"

"And I tell people who encounter the homeless on the streets and are confused about how to respond, that eye contact and a listening ear may be more important than food or money or Bible verses. They need to connect in some small way with another human being."

This reminded me of Trio Community Church's mission to grow in connecting with God and others. We were made in the image of God, the Bible tells us. Made to be in relationship with our creator and, like God, to be in relationship with those around us. Connecting with God and others is something we all need. At the start of this new year, we can remind and position ourselves to live out this mission.

8:30 - 9:30am.

Open invitation to anyone. Come spend time with others in a small group setting. This is a chance to engage with the messages, pray together, and encourage one another to grow in faith.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Let’s make a resolution that matters and make daily time for God and people. We will finish up the STRANGER THINGS series this month.

Also, pick out some youth group friendly movies for MOVIE NIGHT on Saturday, January 14 from 7:00-11:00. Bring a snack or beverage to share, and feel free to wear your pajamas or bring a blanket!
