May God's blessings be upon you for the help you give to the pro-life cause.

With summer nearly at a close, we get full swing into fall and its many pro-life events including 40 Days for Life beginning September 24 and continuing through November 2. 40 Days for Life is now a worldwide campaign spanning 534 cities in 24 countries, all joined in prayer for one intention: the end of abortion. This year, the ecumenical prayer vigil in Dallas will be daily, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., outside the new multi-million dollar Planned Parenthood mega abortion facility at 7989 West Virginia Dr, Dallas 75237.

We still need churches and groups to sponsor a day or block of hours during the vigil. Please contact Dallas Campaign Director Susan Platt at or 214-392-7545 to adopt a day for your parish or church group. Click here for a day of adopted and available days. More information is available at

We are also thrilled to announce that this year's 40 Days for Life-Dallas Kickoff Rally on Tuesday, September 23 is being hosted by our brothers and sisters in Christ - united in the fight for life - at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and we will welcome one of the most sought-after pro-life speakers in the world -- David Bereit, National Director of 40 Days for Life. Please help spread the word about what promises to be an inspiring night!

Also please mark your calendars for:

And be sure to save the date for one of our most popular events - the Christ Child Christmas Gift Market and Luncheon on November 15, featuring luncheon keynote Father James Yamauchi. More information and reservations coming soon at

Another fall highlight is the Hike for Life -- Hike for Life is Texas' oldest pro-life event. Beginning on September 27, pro-lifers will walk in various locations around Texas to remind us of the dignity of all human life, from conception to natural death. Your involvement in the Hike will benefit the CPLC's sidewalk counseling ministry as well as local pregnancy resource centers including the White Rose Women's Centers and Birth Choice Counseling Centers. Visit for more information and to register for a Hike near you.

While we have seen enormous advancements in the cause for life, we must not stop moving forward. We need to pray fervently for the hearing the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has ordered regarding the lawsuit against HB 2, to be held on Friday, September 12 in New Orleans. Let us especially keep in prayer the attorneys defending this strong pro-life law to protect women and children on behalf of the state of Texas.

We must continue to defend the defenseless unborn, as well as the vulnerable and the elderly. Our Holy Father Pope Francis asks us to reach out to all in love and mercy, recognizing that we are all "masterpieces of God's creation". We have the obligation to show others that we are not indifferent to our faith. Our faith should be in our hearts, constantly radiating God's love. Our eyes should reflect God's love. Our actions should confirm God's love.

Let us pray daily for Our Father's guidance. Ask Him to reveal the plan He wishes us to follow so that we may, by our example, bring many to His fold. Let us follow Pope Francis' example of humility and encourage others as God's people, especially those who are most vulnerable and marginalized in our society.

Thanks for all you do for Life,
