Donor-Advised Grant Recommendations:

It is strongly encouraged that all recommendations be sent to the Community Foundation by Friday, December 15 for processing in the Wednesday, December 20 check run.


All Donations:

  • Online Gifts - Must submit by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, December 31


  • Phoned-In or In-Person Gifts - Must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, December 29


  • Mailed Gifts - Must be postmarked by Sunday, December 31


  • Gifts of Securities - Must be received by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, December 31

Funding Needed: $2,500


Munson is seeking funding for their 2024 Concerts in the Court. There are two prospective programs: Socks in the Frying Pan, an Irish trio, and Dirty Dozen Brass Band, a jazz band.

Technology Essentials Funding Needed: $1,950


Herkimer Next is seeking funding for a laptop, docking station, two monitors, keyboard, mouse and small printer to conduct day-to-day business in their new office location.

The Bike Bus

Funding Needed: $2,000


Utica Bike Rescue is seeking funding to help convert a medium-size school bus into a mobile bicycle repair and delivery vehicle to help assist members of the community.

WMO Food Pantry

Funding Needed: $2,500


The WMO Church is seeking funding to help stock their food pantry, which aims to provide healthy food to the people in the areas of Utica that they serve.

Leatherstocking Ballet

Midtown Utica Dance Experience (MUDE)

Funding Needed: $2,500


Leatherstocking Ballet is seeking funding for students ages 5-17 to take weekly lessons in acro-jazz, ballet and tap held at the Midtown Utica Community Center.

Charles T. Sitrin Health Care Center

Child Care Center

Funding Needed: $1,000


Sitrin is seeking funding to purchase a Little Tykes playground to replace the existing broken unit at the Child Care Center, which provides services for 64 children.

Fund Spotlight

Knights of Columbus Rome Council #391 Charitable Fund is a donor-advised fund established by the Knights of Columbus Rome Council #391 for general charitable purposes. KOCRC is a fraternal beneficiary societies and voluntary employees association. The creation of this fund allows the organization to distribute grants and accept tax-deductible contributions for charitable purposes consistent with its Catholic faith.


On November 15, KOCRC donated $1,000 to the Rome Catholic School to be used for purchasing school supplies, materials and other essentials that students and staff may be in need of.

Helpful Harvest Thanks You!

The results are in for the second annual Helpful Harvest Grant Round! The grant round was established to help human service organizations meet their needs stemming from economic difficulty and food insecurity during the holiday season. This year, over $70,000 was awarded to 50 nonprofit organizations, with over $25,000 coming directly from Community Foundation donor-advised funds.
