| | The Bridge Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center Welcomes Toni Goodin as New Executive Director | |
The Bridge Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Toni Goodin as its new Executive Director. With over 30 years of experience in nonprofit management, strategic planning, and business development, Goodin brings a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to serving individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Goodin joins The Bridge from Holy Angels Residential Facility, where she served as the Director of Business Development. In this role, she developed outreach strategies, cultivated key partnerships, and implemented innovative marketing programs to enhance engagement.
Prior to her tenure at Holy Angels, Goodin held leadership positions at several healthcare institutions, including Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital, PAM Specialty Hospitals of Shreveport, and Claiborne Memorial Medical Center, where she served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Her background in healthcare administration and financial oversight uniquely positions her to lead The Bridge in its mission to provide essential resources, support, and education for those impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
“Toni’s leadership, strategic vision, and passion for serving others make her an excellent choice to guide The Bridge into its next chapter,” said Bridget Lyman, President of the Board of Directors. “Her ability to develop strong community partnerships will help enhance our impact on individuals and families navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s and dementia.”
As Executive Director, Goodin will oversee the organization’s programs, fundraising efforts, and strategic initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for those affected by dementia-related illnesses. She is dedicated to strengthening The Bridge’s community presence and ensuring that families have access to the vital resources they need.
“I am honored to join The Bridge and to lead this incredible organization in its mission to serve families and caregivers impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia,” said Goodin. “I look forward to working with our dedicated team, community partners, and supporters to continue making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”

To be able to say how you feel and have others understand.
To be angry and others will not say you should not feel like that.
To find help on how to handle difficult behavior problems.
To learn that you cannot and should not be the only one responsible for caring for a loved one who has the disease.
To learn where to go for help in caring for a loved one.
To realize it is possible to laugh at some of the impossible, crazy things that happen during a day with a person living with dementia.
To learn to stop trying to teach, or reason, with your loved one and instead accept that the way she/he sees things is very real for her/him.
To discover that it is important to have some time for yourself and not feel guilty about it.
To become aware of how much it helps to know you are not making this dementia journey alone.
To discover that coping is easier with the support and caring understanding of the others present.
