Use separate plates and utensils for uncooked meats and cooked meats as well as fruits and vegetables. Avoid putting the cooked meat back on the plate that you had the raw meat on!

Wash your fruits and vegetables!
It is important to wash everything, even fruits with skin you don’t eat from a cantaloupe or watermelon. When you cut through the fruit the contaminants on the skin will be transferred
through
the
inside
of the fruit.
