A recent analysis revealed that women connected with WIC or Medicaid services who give birth in areas where hospital birthing units have closed have more adequate prenatal care than women not connected with these valuable service systems.

In a new addendum to the Early Childhood Iowa Longitudinal Study, analysis found that white children were more likely to be enrolled for longer in Head Start programs in Iowa, while Black children, children born to teen moms or mothers will low education, or families below the Federal Poverty Line were more likely to be enrolled for fewer months.
