HOLIDAY SAFETY

The holidays can be joyful as we celebrate with family and friends, but it doesn’t take much to ruin a festive experience. Remember that as we get busy shopping, planning and hosting, it’s easy to overlook the simple things that can keep us safe. Here are just a few things the Mesa Police Department recommends to have a safe and enjoyable holiday season!

Plan for any upcoming holiday parties you may be attending, and be sure to designate a driver ahead of time. Will you be traveling? Make sure your lights are on timers if you will be spending any time away from home. Lock your parked vehicles and remove any valuables. There may be more pedestrians out and about enjoying the wonderful weather here in Arizona. Be extra alert when you’re behind the wheel. The holidays can be a challenging time for the elderly and anyone spending it alone. Take the time to check in on your neighbors. Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity. For suspicious activity, call security at 480-220-1794. For emergencies, call 911.

MANAGEMENT MOUNTAIN ⚒️

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

Everybody needs a helping hand; for us, it's Jim Mulcahy. Jim served on the community patrol team from 2013 through 2021. He returned after a brief time away to assist with lifestyle events and banquet set-ups.

Jim was selected this month because he embodies all of CCMC's values: integrity, respect, service and community. Jim has a positive and flexible attitude, communicates with candor, leads by serving and puts people first. He's maintained a great relationship with Las Sendas residents through all these years, and our team loves working with him.

Thanks for all you do Jim!

PULSE POINT 📍

TAKE OUR POLL

New board member Bob Mandarino has asked the Board to consider heating the Boulder Mountain Pool during the winter. This pool is located on Red Mountain and used to be heated, but the heater was removed several years ago. Currently, only the Trailhead Pool is heated in the winter.

Heating the pool comes at an additional cost that residents would pay through our quarterly assessments. We estimate the cost to be $10.50/lot per year.

If the Board decides to explore this further, they will want to understand the residents' interest in a second heated pool.

PLEASE VOTE BELOW

Would you use the Boulder Mountain Pool more in the winter if it was heated?
Yes, definitely!
No, but I support the idea.
No, and I don't support the idea.
