It's always nice to be acknowledged and voted # 1 in the Investment industry among full-service firms. Thanks to our clients for acknowledging that "planning, trust, and service" are critical for success in achieving the financial future they want.
Trust was critical to clients (which seems a no-brainer) and that was Assante's highest score. This has always been a hallmark of the service we provide. In fact, that's why I provide service standards in "My Commitment to You", so you as a client can know what to expect, and how we can help.
I have highlighted a number of service areas and changes that we are introducing in the past few months, including:

online confidential document sharing
enhanced meeting capability
Increased product offering, as we continue to build and review changing markets with more "alternative investment items", Environmental friendly offerings, and most recently highlighting the combination of advisor service with Robo-investing, and complimentary online brokerage options.
All these additions to our service offering have been ongoing over the past year and will continue. I am pleased to know that the findings in the J.D.Power study determined that clients are interested in ensuring they have these offerings and more flexibility in how they work with their advisor. This exactly backs up how we are moving forward and enhancing our servicing options.

Estate Planning is a big topic and there is no one size fits all, but when a will is NOT up to date it doesn't suit anybody. There are many changes that have recently come into effect! Please, make sure your will is up to date and here are a few items to consider:
Probate fees are paid to the government determined by the total value of the property in your estate when you pass away. There are some applicable ways to reduce the fees such as having a designated beneficiary.

Reminder for Trustee Fees for RRIF, RRSP, LIF, LIRA: The trustee fees for all registered accounts (RRSP, RRIF, LRIF, LIRA) will be charged on June 3rd. Please note, the fee will be taken as instructed on your account, so it may be taken from the Assante account, or charged to your bank account.

I particularly agree with this one. When it comes to the investing industry, if one never questions their assumptions, one may get caught in being over-confident, which can lead to bigger mistakes on occasion.
