Executive Committee Monthly Update

The NACE Executive Committee made its way to Philadelphia to participate in the NACo Annual Conference, NACE members attended the Transportation Steering Committee Meeting while holding its own Executive Committee Meeting. The big question that needs to be answered…. Philly Cheese Steak with Provolone Cheese or Cheese Wiz?

The NACo Transportation Steering Committee approved 17 resolutions that will be available on their website soon. Most notable was the Proposed Resolution Urging Congress to Provide for Direct Funding to County Owned Roads and Bridges in the FY 2026 Surface Transportation Reauthorization and Maintain Levels of Investment. While not a new resolution to NACo or NACE, passing this is importantly nevertheless to emphasize its importance to policymakers as they begin to consider the next transportation reauthorization bill.

NACo welcomed new leadership as well. JD Clark (Wise County, TX Judge) is the new President. Commissioner George Dunlap of Mecklenburg County, N.C is First Vice President, and the newly elected 2^nd Vice President is Alisha Bell of Wayne County, MI.

Don't forget to download your PDH Certificate! To access your credits, go to the to live conference site and go "Log in here" to access your certificates. Your certificates will be available until August 30.

If you don't know your login and password, it is easy to retrieve by clicking here: Reset your password. Please do not try and use your NACE website login information to access the live conference site (it will not work as they are separate sites).

It's important that you have access to the email address that was used for your registration as that is the only way to retrieve your password. The option on the registration site will only be visible to attendees who are logged in to the live site. Please follow the prompts and select the sessions you attended.

Sunday, April 12, 2026 - Wednesday, April 15, 2026

We are excited to announce the Call for Presentations for the NACE 2026 Annual Conference, taking place April 12-15 in Arlington, TX at the Arlington Convention Center/ Loews Complex.

NACE technical sessions provide Professional Development Hours (PDH) for attendees so all proposals should provide educational content instead of a direct sales pitch. All proposals will be sent to the appropriate committee chair after the deadline- August 22nd! Preference is given to NACE members. Speakers will receive a $100 discount on conference registration. Speakers are responsible for their own travel and accommodations.

Alternatively, companies can be guaranteed a 1-hour slot by sponsoring one of the technical tracks. This sponsorship and all the information about exhibiting at the 2026 show will be launched in early September.
