New Registration System for Extension Courses
|
“
Can I pay by credit card?” That is a question we frequently hear at N.C. Cooperative Extension in Clay County and, until now, the answer has been “no.” All of that changed on January 1, 2020, with
Eventbrite.
Many of you are familiar with Eventbrite for things like community events, races, and concert tickets. You will now be able to register for free and fee-based Extension events advertised through the Eventbrite system and pay via credit card. Our hope is that this new system will make it easier for you, our clients, to register and pay for the courses you’d like to attend. It will also make communications simpler with automated reminders so you’ll never miss a class you’ve registered for and you can register at your convenience. Classes will still be advertised through our traditional channels online and in local news publications. We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity for your convenience. For more information, feel free to give our office a call at 828-389-6305. The link for one-stop shopping of all our programs will be:

Do you have a hobby you are very passionate about? Something to do when you want to escape the stress of the day or week?
Greg Charles’ passion is fly fishing. He is able to share that interest with a group of teenagers in the Flyers and Tyers 4-H Fly Fishing Club. This sport covers a lot of information from learning about a variety of insects and their life stages to the weather and how it effects fishing. The members have also practiced tying flies and learning how to cast.
