Upcoming Scholarship Opportunities

The Mukilteo Way Garden Club is pleased to offer their Horticulture Scholarship of $1000, to be used for 2023-24 academic classes at an accredited college or trade school in the state of Washington. High school seniors, college students, anyone currently working in horticulture and related fields or those interested in beginning a new path into these fields are eligible. Classes must be in horticulture or horticulture-related fields and may be taken in pursuit of a degree or for augmenting current or new career goals.

Director of Enology & Viticulture at Walla Walla Community College

Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) is seeking applicants for a Director of Enology & Viticulture position at the Walla Walla campus. 

 

This position has primary responsibility for teaching courses within the Enology and Viticulture program, leading the instructional team, and leading production operations. The Director is responsible for all aspects of program and winery operations to ensure education and production meet industry demands. This position will be responsible for developing new, and maintaining existing, industry relationships that benefit the students we serve and the programs they are enrolled in. The director will provide oversight of all wine making operations for the wines produced by College Cellars, including oversight of the estate vineyards and the production winery including maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Upcoming Workforce Event AWB Workforce Summit


Workforce is one of the most pressing issues facing employers. The manufacturing and aerospace industries remain the top employing sectors in Washington. To help support these crucial industry sectors, the AWB Institute is joining with the Aerospace Futures Alliance and Career Connect Washington to host a summit on key workforce issues in Seattle on June 1 at the Museum of Flight.


The Workforce Summit will bring together employers to discuss the most pressing needs facing their industry when it comes to workforce, and how best to connect/collaborate with educational partners to ensure strong career pathways for young people into these high-wage, high-growth careers.
