From 2023 GPBOR President Rita Danielle Steele

I am pleased to have the honor of serving as your 2023 President, and I want to thank Mike Pereira and all of the prior leaders I've had the privilege to work with for their guidance and stewardship of our esteemed organization.

Did you know that REALTORS®, as a whole, are the largest U.S. professional trade association with 1.5 million REALTORS®?

REALTORS® are at the forefront of every community on so many levels. There’s a lot of big issues coming to a head over the next couple of years. Don’t feel powerless within a market that’s out of your control. Yes, interest rates are high and the market has slowed down, but if you look over the course of time, people make or lose money on homeownership no matter when they buy or what interest rate they pay. There’s a 93% chance that a homeowner will build equity in their house.

Don’t sit back and feel victim to circumstance. You have more control and power than you think. I ask that you take advantage of what your REALTOR® Association has to offer. There are trainings, opportunities, resources available to learn and be educated and on top of your game. We have it all – use it! Sign up for our committees and task forces – we actually get stuff done!
