Pastor's Posting In Honor Of Our Long Time CDC Employees

We are SO thankful for ALL of the employees in our Child Development Center. However, there are several CDC employees who have been with us for a very long time. Most daycare centers cannot boast of the kind of longevity we have here at our CDC. We recognize the uniqueness of this and felt it was time to CELEBRATE these long-time employees.



    So, on Thursday, July 17, we had a CDC LONGEVITY CELEBRATION! Long time employees were presented with a Certificate of Longevity, a personalized cake, and lunch. Here is the list of our honored employees and the number of years they have served as employees of our CDC:

Karin Davidson has FIFTEEN years

Michele Street has THIRTEEN years

Sallie Hodge has TWELVE years

Terreese Triplett has TWELVE years

Nicky Sanchez has TWELVE years

Ashley Street has NINE years

Tanner Street has SIX years

Victoria McDonald has FIVE years

Thank you, CDC Board members (Cynthia Potvin, Carol Morgan, Ralph Cartmell, Becky Smith, and Elaine Passman), for providing the celebration cake. Elaine Passman also provided creative “goodie bags” for each award recipient. 

- By the Way! -

The CDC is in need of OLD T-Shirts for the children to use when they do "messy" art (painting, etc). Feel free to drop them by the office!

- Blessing of the Backpacks -

The Blessing of Backpacks will be held on Sunday, August 10, during Children’s Time. Jessica Bain (our new Children’s Ministry leader), will have bins for collecting donated school supplies in the Welcome Center. If you are donating backpacks, KISD is requiring that they be clear.

- Welcome Back Chloe King! -

We have been blessed with Chloe King as our administrative assistant for ONE FULL YEAR NOW (July 10th). Chloe has not only served in the office generating bulletins and newsletters; but she has also often served as the sound technician in Jamie Garretts absence. We especially appreciate Chloe's creative technological expertise.

Please be watching and listening for "FUN-raising" events/activities. You will not want to miss these, they are designed for the whole family to participate!

- Pasta with the Pastor -

What a WONDERFUL time we had with several of our new members! We enjoyed a variety of pasta meals, salads, sausages, and breadsticks from Olive Garden (thank you Tug for picking the food up for us). The food was good; and the fellowship was sweet. Thank you to: Johnny Sirmans, Colleen Cole, Dana Wheaton, Priscilla Nall, and Nile Townsend for sharing part of your Saturday afternoon with us! I also want to extend a hearty thank you to the staff/church members who were able to come. We hope our new members have more information about who we are as a church and that they know about the various activities we offer and the ministry areas, where they might consider serving. 

The Child Development Center is currently enrolling! Vacancies will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, please reach out to the CDC office at 254-634-5149.
