The Bible Speaks:

Galatians 5:22-23

Pastor's Post

Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center in Belton, is beautiful! About 100 clergy members of the HTCUMC, gathered there from Monday, Sept. 21-Wed., Sept. 23rd. Many of you have attended Cedarbrake before. It was my first time spending time at the retreat center. I was mesmerized by the beauty of the chapel windows, which displayed the nine “Fruit of the Spirit.” Paul uses the word “fruit” because each individual fruit grows in connection with the other, in the lives of Christians. They represent the qualities and spiritual traits born out of having a relationship with the Holy Spirit, who gives good gifts to believers. We find these nine character traits in Galatians 5:22-23. We are connected to the life of Jesus; and by the power of the Holy Spirit, bear “Holy Fruit,” on behalf of the Kingdom of God.

It just so happens that Zel Heaney and her leadership team, are teaching the Fruit of the Spirit to the Youth Sunday school members RIGHT NOW!!

If you have not been to Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center or have not been in a while, let me refresh your memory for just a moment.
