Chance to Win $25 Ends Jan. 31

Ride Together Pierce is randomly awarding eight commuters with $25 for sharing their commute on the trip calendar. Sharing your commute allows other Pierce County commuters to see your approximate route and get in touch to share the ride.

How to Get Started:

  1. Register on the trip calendar at RideTogetherPierce.com.
  2. Save your commute. Follow these instructions if you need assistance.
  3. Make sure your commute is visible to everyone or those in your employer network. That's it!

Use the Trip Planner to find potential matches with users who share your commute! You can look for carpool buddies, bike buddies, bus buddies, and more.

Already added your commute to the database? Be sure to update it anytime in January!

Construction Underway for "Bridge for Kids" in Orting

The Orting emergency evacuation plan currently heavily relies on motor vehicle transportation, which would likely clog the roads with car traffic in the case of an emergency. To provide a more safe and reliable evacuation route for those on foot and bike, construction has begun on a pedestrian bridge crossing over SR-162 near Ptarmigan Elementary and Orting Middle Schools. This bridge will also provide safe pedestrian access to schools, commercial centers, and the Foothills Trail.

Temporary detours on the Foothills Trail and crosswalks along SR-162 are now in place.
