May 15th is the International Day of Families

The United Nation's International Day of Families provides an opportunity to:

promote awareness of issues relating to families,
increase the knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting families, and
highlight of the problems and needs of the family in order to find effective ways of meeting those needs.

P2P Partner Supporting Families:

Be Back Soon Program

Connections Early Years Family Centre operates the Be Back Soon program, funded by P2P. The program provides unlicensed, short-term childcare at no cost for parents who qualify.

Eligible parents and caregivers are able to arrange care for their children 0 - 6 years of age while they attend job interviews and/or training, or for medical, legal, social service, or counselling appointments. Children are cared for by Registered Early Childhood Educators in a safe and stimulating environment.

The program is available to families living with low income or who receive agency referrals during a variety of times. Parents and caregivers can call to register at 519-252-9696.

Save the Date for Meet a Machine!

Meet a Machine is a FREE community literacy event hosted by City of Windsor Children's Services. Machines of all shapes and sizes, including emergency vehicles, construction equipment, military trucks, buses, forestry trucks, race cars, tow trucks and much more, are on display for children to discover and explore.

When: Saturday, June 10^thfrom 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Where: WFCU Centre Parking Lot - 8787 McHugh, Windsor

Sensory Friendly Hour: 9:00 am - 10:00 am
