What about Guilt??

Come now, let us reason together saith the Lord?

though your sins be as scarlet, they will be white as snow -Isaiah 1:18

Old testament feasts a shadow of fulfillment in Jesus Christ

  Hebrews 10:1a

The feast of atonement  ,Yom Kippur- included High priest taking 2 goats, one to be the sin offering, the other to be the scapegoat- sent into the wilderness -

Leviticus 16:7-10

The life is in the blood 

The scapegoat carried sins and guilt away-  Leviticus 16:21-22

This required Humility

The shadow of humility   Leviticus 23:27-32 - day of atonement- afflict your souls- do no work

This cleansing was for the purpose of RELATIONSHIP- not for purpose of appeasement like all the other surrounding religions

Jesus came as all three:

1.) The High Priest - Hebrews 6:20

2.) The Sin Offering - Romans 8:3
 

and

3.) Our Scapegoat - Isaiah 53:6 

- The Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all

Let us then, agree with God, that Jesus has taken away our sin and our guilt
