| | Greetings fellow AIA Members. November for me has always been a time of change and looking forward to the next year. For some people change brings anxiety and others it brings hope for possibilities of what the next month and year will bring. I sit on the fence between anxiety and optimism with the hope that decisions and directions set for 2024 will make 2025 even better. For instance, registered nurses in one of our major Michigan healthcare systems unionized. This is what AIA Michigan is all about and together we are stronger. This will be very important in 2025 as new legislation will be introduced in the house and senate that may impact our profession. Stay tuned for more information from our legislative committee in future articles and e-blasts. The ArchiFusion event was capped off by near record attendance for our annual AIA Honor Awards. The award ceremony was a great way to honor the great architecture and personal achievements of Michigan Architects with the top honor of Gold Medal awarded to Cindy Pozolo, FAIA. Read more.
