This is the time of year that we put the finishing touches on our upcoming Block of the Month programs and this year is no exception. We have been busy finalizing the pattern for Stellaris, the 2019 BOM, taping the lessons and putting together kits. We can't wait to introduce it next month.
This month's newsletter includes Block of the Month information and more on fun projects and classes.
Stellaris, Our 2019 Block of the Month
In our April newsletter, our Block of the Month program for this year will begin.
Stellaris was designed, based on your feedback from previous BOM quilts, to teach a technique each month for those looking to step up to a more challenging but doable quilt.
Stellaris kits are now assembled and waiting! As we have already revealed, the kits come in five colorways with a sixth added in June when the fabric arrives at the Studio. The kits use fabrics from the
Palette collections. The quilt is rectangular and finishes at 69" x 77½".
As in the past, each month's newsletter will give you links to written and video lessons to take you through each part of the quilt. When you finish the lessons, I think you will be surprised at all you have accomplished. These
FREE lessons are only available through the newsletter so if you have quilting friends who want to join you, remind them to sign up.
here to watch a teaser video of what's to come!
If you would like to be ready when that first clue is released, you can check out the colorways and order kits and pre-printed templates here.
New Stellaris Table Runner
Each table runner finishes at 14" x 44"
Based on our Block of the Month quilt, the
Stellaris table runner features compass blocks with intricate-looking centers created by using mirror imaged fabrics outlined with a mini-stripe.
The kits are available in two colorways, Blue and Neutral. This beautiful table runner will make a lovely accent piece for any home. I like it so much that I am making one for my daughter.

Around the Studio -- March Classes
We have four wonderful classes at the Studio this month. You can learn to make perfect star blocks, sew favorite t-shirts into a wonderful memory quilt, discover how to make bias binding into a traditional interlaced pattern, and create gorgeous appliqué.

Quilts from the Protea Grand Bundle
Last month we introduced our latest grand bundle,
Protea, based on the exotic Protea flower from South Africa. We've had fun at the Studio playing with these fabrics and my latest
blog gives you an idea of what you can do with this lovely fabric bundle.
You can read about the quilts using the Protea Grand Bundle here.
My Favorite Tools
I am not a quilter who is known for using a lot of different gadgets or tools so when I find something new that I really feel is worthwhile, I like to share it with you.
I will be adding videos of my favorite tools to the website. This month, I am featuring the Wooly Mat and Flairosol Spray Bottle. The spray bottle gives a very fine and even spray and when used with the Wooly Mat, it is the perfect combo for pressing seams and blocks.
