From the Co-Presidents:

Hello CPC families!

It is hard to believe November is already here and it is time to look forward to Thanksgiving! We have so much to be grateful for this year and our amazing CPC volunteers top that list! We are thankful for the friendships we've made as we work side by side with you on behalf of our Colorado cadets.

We would like to send a big THANK YOU to Steve Clancy, Tim Thompson, Jeff Ditlevson, and the rest of the Tailgate crew for a fantastic tailgate season! The CPC tailgate's reputation is widespread amongst the cadet squadrons and USAFA Security Forces and it's awesome that we can give back to those communities. Thanks to each and every one of you who brought food, helped with set-up and clean-up, and jumped in where needed each home game. I even overheard Alex, one of the members of the USAFA Falcon team, tell his parents to go to the Colorado Parents' Club tailgate because it was the best.

Thanks also to our Goodie Bag volunteers who helped with assembly and delivery on October 24th! Over 1400 goodie bags were assembled and delivered to each squadron in record time. Stacy Prater, Nico Mason, and the rest of the Goodie Bag team are AMAZING! We would be remiss if we didn't thank the Vista Ridge JROTC for all of their help, as well.

We are looking forward to watching Air Force football (and especially the Drum and Bugle Corps) play in the Commander's Classic in Arlington this weekend. One more win to go against Army and the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy will be back at the Air Force Academy! Go Falcons!

As you know, a club our size can not continue to operate without our volunteers. There is still a need for volunteer support. Please consider sharing your time and talents:

  • Fund Raising Chair (elected position)

  • End of Year Celebration Chair(s)

  • We need a 2024 or 2025 family to work with Colleen and Gary Foster to coordinate details for the for the 2022 New Appointee Event on 12 June. We are hoping for a fun, in-person event at Top Golf to welcome the new Appointees for the Class of 2026. Please reach out to Colleen Foster for more information.

Wishing you all a very happy Thanksgiving holiday!

USAFA CPC Co-Presidents

Colorado All Service Academy Ball

This year's Colorado All Service Academy Ball (CASAB) is hosted by Air Force and is scheduled for Wednesday, 29 December 2021 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. The theme is "Red Tags and Red Tails." Each year we have the unique opportunity to celebrate all of the amazing young men and women from Colorado who are currently attending a service academy, and the celebration is open to all Colorado cadets (and midshipmen) and their families - you should have received your invitation in the mail. The Early Bird price is $75.00 per person until November 15. Registration is online and can be accessed here. Registration ends December 12. You can also click to get further information.

We will need parent volunteers and cadets to help fill roles. Click to volunteer.

We need photos of our Colorado cadets for the CASAB slide show. Send photos to slideshow@coloradoasab.org.

Would you consider making a donation to help sponsor our event? By giving to CASAB, you will help to create a memorable event for all the Cadets and Midshipmen from Colorado. We hope that we can count on your help to make this year’s event one of the best yet! To donate using PayPal, click here.

Colorado Parent’s Club recently received a grant from El Pomar Foundation’s Southeast Regional Council to help pay for general club operating costs. El Pomar Foundation is one of the largest and oldest private foundations in Colorado. Spencer and Julie Penrose founded El Pomar in 1937, and the Foundation now contributes more than $22 million annually through grants and community stewardship programs to support Colorado nonprofit organizations involved in health, human services, education, arts and humanities and civic and community initiatives. Thank you to the trustees of El Pomar Foundation for this grant!
