September and the end of summer always seems to arrive before we are ready for it.
Row by Row just ended a few days ago and we had so much fun meeting those who stopped by to pick up a free pattern. If you missed the opportunity to get a pattern, the Row by Row rules allow us to have them available for sale starting in November.
The fall season is a busy one for us with our
Anniversary Sale and now, immediately after, the
Quilters' Quest shop hop. The Quest involves a great deal of preparation as we gather new products and projects for you. I've been quilting up a storm on my quilt for the Quest with the goal of having it completed by the end of the month.

Don't miss the fun as
Quilters' Quest, our annual shop hop, returns on October 11. Ten days of fun are guaranteed as we take you on a book tour with each shop choosing a favorite book as their theme. Each shop is creating a quilt based on the theme using the "Quest cuts" (10-inch squares) and the
FREE PATTERNS you will receive just for walking through the door.
Jinny has chosen for the Studio's book a childhood classic,
The Mary Frances Sewing Book: Adventures Among the Thimble People. The book teaches children
how to sew while also telling the story of Mary Frances's new friends, the Thimble People. We will have fun projects to make with and for the special children in your lives. The book is available for purchase now on our
website.
The Quest runs from
October 11th through the 20th giving you the opportunity to explore 10 quilt shops in Maryland and Northern Virginia. We are excited to have a new shop this year, Artistic Artifacts, known not only for their wonderful quilting and art supplies but also for unique gifts and fabrics from around the world.
