President's Perspective: February Open Houses and Region 12

One of the highlights of this year so far has been launching our first round of Idaho REALTORS® Open Houses in the South District. These gatherings are exactly what we envisioned — meeting members where they are, listening more than we speak, and having real conversations about the business of real estate in Idaho. From market challenges to professional standards, advocacy to education, the dialogue has been thoughtful, honest, and productive. It’s a powerful reminder that the strength of Idaho REALTORS® isn’t just in Boise — it’s in every community across our state.

What stood out most was the shared commitment to elevating our profession. When we talk about the value of Idaho REALTORS® and our local associations, it becomes clear: advocacy, education, relationships, and credibility don’t happen by accident. They happen because you engage. Thank you to every member who showed up, asked questions, and helped shape the conversation. We are stronger together when leadership and members connect face-to-face.

Looking ahead, I’m excited for our upcoming trip to Region 12 in Seattle. This year includes an additional day of education designed to sharpen your skills and strengthen your business. If you’ve been considering attending, there’s still time to grab a ticket and join us! Investing in your growth is always a wise decision — and I would love to see Idaho well represented in the room.

The Open House Program Is Rolling — And More Stops Are Coming in May

Idaho REALTORS® completed its first three Open House stops this past month, visiting Western Magic Valley REALTORS®, the Sun Valley Board of REALTORS®, and Mini-Cassia Association of REALTORS®. The conversations were candid, energizing, and exactly what this program was designed to create.

Attendees shared how valuable it was to meet Idaho REALTORS® leadership in person, learn more about what's happening at the state level, and have real one-on-one dialogue. Both newer and long-established REALTORS® expressed appreciation for the accessibility and open exchange of ideas. Hear what WMVR members had to say about the experience.

The program isn't over — our next round of Open Houses heads to the North District in May. Mark your calendars:
