MESSAGE FROM THE LAKE CITIES FIRE CHIEF
Your Lake Cities Fire Department is made up of 53 individuals whose mission is to deliver innovative and professional emergency and life-safety services. This past year has absolutely been one where we have had to adapt to the changing world more than ever before. I am very proud of the members and how they stepped up to the challenge of adapting our response during COVID followed by an Ice/Freeze storm like many of us have never seen.
As an all-hazard department, we respond to much more than just fire calls. All our apparatus carry advanced life support equipment and are staffed with a Paramedic. We mitigate Fire, Emergency Medical, vehicle accidents and other Trauma calls, Hazardous Material spills, and technical rescue calls.
A large part of our responsibility also includes fire prevention and education. We are in the schools teaching our children about life and fire safety as well as in our business community doing inspections and sharing information. We provide station tours as well as ride-outs for those in school learning to be firefighters and Paramedics. We have contact with over 5000 people a year through our prevention programs.
I am very proud for the opportunity to be the Chief of the Lake Cities Fire Department and cannot say enough how proud I am of this organization, its members, and for the community support you show the Department.
