MESSAGE FROM THE CITY MANAGER
As we approach the new year and close the book on 2021, I couldn’t help but reflect with gratitude on Corinth’s collective resilience these past few years. Out of these unprecedented challenges, came new and exciting opportunities to serve our residents and businesses.
We celebrated several economic development wins this past year. Irving-based Realty Capital Management, LLC, finalized a mixed-use development called the “Parkway District” located at the southwest corner of Corinth Parkway and I-35E. Groundbreaking for this landmark project is expected in early 2022. The Millennium place located at I-35E and Dobbs Road welcomed the addition of the Apricus event venue, Doggie’s Wonderland and Wonderwash, and Bones & Burritos restaurant. Millennium is scheduled to open the Fairfield Inn & Suites soon. We also welcomed May’s Eats Gourmet to Go and Bella Maca to our community.
Moving into 2022, we will begin construction on the Commons at Agora and associated infrastructure. The Commons is envisioned to be an iconic gathering space that will compliment future mixed-use development on the surrounding properties to create a true downtown district, Agora, that while serve as a central hub for community activities, events, and festivals. This dynamic space will be defined by exciting shopping, dining, and living opportunities with a local flair.
We focused on strengthening our relationships within the Lake Cities by working together on projects that benefit all communities. Most importantly, is the Broadband project. The Lake Cities approved a joint Strategic Plan and are currently seeking a partner to provide better connectivity and internet speed to residents and local businesses. We anticipate moving forward on this greatly anticipated effort in 2022.
Last, but certainly not least, we could not recap the year without mentioning Pumpkin Palooza. What a great event for our community. Crowds estimated at 16,000 enjoyed a beautiful day of car shows, contests, live music, food, and hot air balloons.
As a community, we were blessed for the accomplishments of this past year. If you haven’t signed up for the Corinth Connection monthly newsletter or are following us on social media, now would be a great time to do so. You will not want to miss the exciting events and activities in 2022.
On behalf of the City Council and staff, we wish everyone a safe, healthy, and happy Christmas season. We look forward to serving the Corinth community in 2022 and continuing to champion experiences that engage, excite, and elevate our community.
City Manager Bob Hart

BECOME A COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR
Make a difference in our community by becoming a Community Engagement Ambassador. The goal of the Ambassador program is to understand and engage with our residents through social media, neighborhood associations, and other Corinth groups.
Ambassadors serve two-year terms and meet every other month where they are the first to know about upcoming projects, hear presentations from department directors and share feedback directly with staff on City initiatives and communication tactics.

BUDGET BILLING REGISTRATION
Weather, hidden leaks, and a change in water use habits are just a few reasons that could cause your bill to fluctuate dramatically each month. Budget billing is a free service that averages the highs and lows of your utility bill, so you pay roughly the same amount year-round.
The monthly payment is based on the average of the resident's previous 12 months' bill. Each month the average monthly payment will be adjusted as the oldest month is removed from the average and replaced by the most recent month's billed consumption.
In March of each year, any outstanding balances will be due, and any credit on the account will remain in the account's reserve for the upcoming program year.
Budget Billing Enrollment is December 1, 2021, through February 11, 2022, and the program will start in March 2022. To learn more information and to verify eligibility, please visit the Budget Billing page on our website.
