Steps to Diversity & Inclusion
For the past nine months Women's Network leadership and members have been focused on finding intentional steps towards becoming an organization with a membership that represents the population we serve. Training was provided to leadership, and a task force was born. At this luncheon, we are excited to welcome interactive topics that foster conversation and brainstorming dedicated to understanding where to start, how to educate ourselves and the importance of simply taking steps to making our organizations more diverse and inclusive.

The Journey Toward Inclusive Excellence committee is a collaborative union of local businesses, organizations, and leaders working together to make Boone County the first inclusive excellence community. At this LDR, we’ll explore this initiative, which challenges us all to be more aware of our biases and the roles they play both personally and professionally. Through this discussion we’ll learn how to better curate companies and communities where all can thrive and feel valued. Featuring Kari Utterback and Verna LaBoy of the Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health & Human Services.

LDR’s are great, free professional development opportunities lead by esteemed professionals in Columbia. Discussions are free to attend and are open to members and non-members. Bring your lunch and join in on the conversation, or sit back and take it all in!
