Chair's Corner: Strengthen Your "No" Muscle

Chair Krista Kippenberger with Focus on Health Chiropractic wants us all to think about how we can strengthen our "no" muscle, and how we can say no to ourselves! She said no to herself by taking a break from social media and replacing that time with other things in her life. This has helped her focus in on her Best Yes.

Upcoming Events

Women's Network events are a great way to challenge your comfort zone, meet new people, and get the most out of your WN membership. Make a point to attend one of our upcoming events this month! Visit our website for all events.
February Professional Development Luncheon
February 20 | 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. | PeachTree Catering & Banquet Center
Civic Engagement
For the past several months, Chair Krista Kippenberger has reminded members to give their Best Yes. This includes making your voice heard in your community and making your vote count. Especially in an election year, knowing how to be properly civically engaged is critical. Becoming civically engaged will give you the tools to be better leaders and empowered members in our community.

Join us for the February Women’s Network Professional Development Luncheon on Thursday, February 20 to learn how to be civically engaged from Boone County Clerk Brianna Lennon. She will explain how our seemingly small acts of voting in elections and filling out the census can have big impacts on our local community, state and nation. Columbia Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee Co-Chair, and past Women's Network Chair, Heather Hargrove will also provide attendees with a Chamber legislative update.

The Carrie D. Francke Scholarship is open to applicants through May 1, 2020. Each year, Women’s Network provides a $1,000 scholarship in memory of Carrie D. Francke. She died in a tragic car accident in 1989 at the age of 34. Carrie served on the Women’s Network Steering Committee.
